Vookara General Terms and Conditions
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using the Vookara platform, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, we recommend not using our services.
2. Services Offered
Vookara is a booking platform that intermediates and markets third-party products and services, including:
- Touristic experiences and adventure tours
- Accommodations in hotels, lodges, and vacation homes
- Private and shared transportation (transfers, shuttles, driver rentals)
- In the future: reservation services for national and international flights
All services offered are subject to availability and the specific conditions of each provider.
3. Booking and Payment Process
- Bookings are considered confirmed only once payment is received or the payment method validated.
- The user will receive an electronic confirmation with the details of the booked service.
- Prices shown include taxes when applicable and may vary depending on availability, season, currency, or promotions.
- Available payment methods include credit/debit card, PayPal, or others that may be enabled in the future.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
4.1 Cancellations by the Client
Cancellation conditions vary according to the type of service and are detailed in each service description. In general, the following policies apply:
- For individual bookings or groups smaller than 12 people:
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance will be eligible for a full refund or rescheduling.
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the service will be penalized with the loss of the full payment.
- For group bookings (12 or more people):
- Cancellations made more than 7 days in advance will be eligible for a full refund or rescheduling.
- Cancellations made less than 7 days before the service will be penalized with the loss of the full payment.
All cancellations must be notified in writing by email to admin@vookara.com to be valid.
4.2 Cancellations by Vookara or Providers
In case of cancellation by Vookara or a provider due to extreme weather conditions, force majeure, or operational failures, the following will be offered:
- Free rescheduling
- Similar alternative service
- Full refund if rescheduling is not accepted
5. User Responsibility
- Provide truthful and updated information during the booking process
- Be physically and legally fit to participate in the contracted activities
- Comply with agreed schedules and meeting points
- Verify age, health, weight requirements, or specific restrictions for each service
6. Limitation of Liability
Vookara acts solely as an intermediary platform between the user and service providers, facilitating contracting between both parties. We are not directly responsible for the execution, quality, safety, or results of the contracted services.
Any legal liability, claim, or direct dispute must be addressed to the corresponding provider.
Nevertheless, Vookara commits to mediate for a fair resolution in case of conflicts between client and providers.
7. Modifications and Changes
Vookara and its providers reserve the right to modify or cancel services due to:
- Adverse weather conditions
- Force majeure or unforeseen events
- Logistical or availability issues
In such cases, the user will be notified as soon as possible and an appropriate solution will be offered.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the platform, including texts, graphics, logos, images, and source code, is the property of Vookara or authorized third parties. Unauthorized reproduction or use is prohibited.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
Personal data processing is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using our platform, users authorize the collection, use, and storage of their data as described in that policy.
10. Communications
Vookara may communicate with users via email, WhatsApp, SMS, or other digital channels for matters related to bookings or marketing, always complying with current regulations.
11. Jurisdiction and Dispute Resolution
The parties agree to amicably resolve any differences or conflicts arising from the interpretation or execution of these Terms and Conditions.
If an amicable solution is not reached, the parties may submit the dispute to the competent courts of the Republic of Costa Rica, expressly waiving any other jurisdiction that may apply.
